INTERNSHIP

Orchestra 

Every year, the Symphony Orchestra Biel Solothurn organises summer and seasonal internships for young musicians in cooperation with the SON Foundation. The musicians have the opportunity to rehearse and play concerts with the members of the Symphony Orchestra for a period of time. The applicants were selected at an audition in spring. Applications are possible for both the summer and the seasonal internships. As a rule, a completed summer internship is a prerequisite for the seasonal internship. The jury decides about exceptional cases.

Seasonal internship: September 2024 to June 2025

  • Participation in small and large-scale projects of the Symphony Orchestra Biel Solothurn in the cities and regions of Biel and Solothurn

  • Serenades and summer concerts with orchestral (large) chamber music

  • Sectional rehearsals and coaching by mentors (principals) of the orchestra
